Detective's Casebook

With Detective's Casebook your students will hone their forensics skills by solving a unique "crime scenario" designed by their classmates! Topics covered by the Detective's Casebook include: Impression Analysis - using casting materials such as plaster of Paris and putty to preserve and study physical impressions; Physical Property Analysis, - using density to identify plastics; Fiber Analysis - learning how "every contact leaves a trace" with respect to identification of natural and synthetic fibers; and Drug Analysis - testing for the presence of drugs through an excreted substance. Under the teacher's direction, student groups create various scenarios for other groups to solve using their newly acquired forensic analysis skills from the Detective's Casebook. The lab is a great hands on teaching tool tool for forensic science.
