Stirling Engine G
Stirling Engine G is perfect for quantitative investigations of the Stirling cycle. The Stirling engine can be operated in three different modes: as a heat engine, heat pump or refrigerator. Transparent design allows for clear observation of the motion at all times.
Features:
• Displacement cylinder and piston made-of heat-resistant glass
• Power cylinder, flywheel and generator cover made-of acrylic glass
• Displacement cylinder equipped with temperature measurement sockets for differential temperature measurements
• Flywheel allows for measurement of revolutions per second using a light barrier
• Pressure in power cylinder can be measured to record pV diagrams
• Integrated generator converts mechanical energy to electrical energy
When recording pV-diagrams, the pressure in the power cylinder is measure with a hose connection and the string included in the scope of delivery is fastened to the power piston to measure the stroke in order to determine the volume.
The integrated generator unit with a two-stage belt pulley converts the produced mechanical energy into electrical energy. Equipped with a switchover option for operating an integrated lamp or external loads, or input for electrical energy for operation as a heat pump or refrigerator, in accordance with the direction of rotation of the Stirling engine. Includes an alcohol burner.
Specifications:
• Motor–generator unit: max. 12 V DC
• Two-stage belt pulley: 30 mm Ø, 19 mm Ø
• Power of the Stirling engine: approx. 1 W
