MamaNatalie is a simulation tool kit to provide training for a normal or a complicated birth, as well as for the interaction between the trainee and the mother. The simulator is attached to the teacher who can manually control and manage the opening of the cervix, the foetal heart sounds, the position of the baby, the afterbirth, the amount of bleeding and the condition of the uterus. The following scenarios and processes are possible:
bleeding
positioning and delivery of the baby
delivery of he placenta
fetal heart sounds
cervix landmark
uterine massage
urine bladder cathetherization
uterine compression
Simulation of post-delivery bleeding:
The training product is also suitable for communication between the obstetrician/midwife and the mother and for simulating heavier bleeding, in order to reduce the mortality rate of mothers (caused, among other things, by heavy blood loss).
the uterus contains NeoNatalie, placenta and umbilical cord. contractions can be simulated by the teacher/instructor
bladder (for simulating catheterisation)
rectum (to simulate administering medication)
The blood container can hold up to 1.5 litres of blood. The amount of blood flow can be controlled by opening or closing a valve. A scale represents and measures blood loss during a birth scenario.
Uterine contraction (spongy up to well-contracted) can be easily simulated by the teacher pressing on the practice bag
The blood container can be easily filled up and emptied through a large opening
