Senior Accountant – Subsidiary Operations
American 3B Scientific is a leader in the market for didactic material for scientific, medical and patient education. The Company is owned by J.H. Whitney Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in New Canaan, Conn. 3B Scientific develops, manufactures, markets the majority of the products it sells.  Additionally, the Company enters into exclusive distribution arrangements with other manufacturers to augment its product offering to be a single source for its customers.

Location: Tucker, Georgia just outside of Atlanta. Only local candidates should apply, no relocation assistance will be provided.
Position: Senior Accountant – Subsidiary Operations

  • Handle all aspects of accounting for US based subsidiaries including but not limited to:
    • Prepare financial statements for subsidiaries and complete financial reports to Headquarters.
    • Maintain general ledger; post general journal entries and perform account reconciliations
    • Bank account reconciliations
    • Process accounts payable, prepare and send checks
    • Process and send customer invoices, collect accounts receivable and apply cash receipts
    • Maintain fixed asset subledger and depreciation schedules
    • Reconcile intercompany balances with affiliates
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts
  • Analyze budget variances
  • Management financial reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5 – 10 years work experience in a product environment
  • Exposure to international operations is preferred but not required

Field Sales Representative
Territories (2 Open): California, Northeast

Position Description
The Field Sales Representative will be responsible for achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully selling and marketing the full line of 3B Scientific products to end users and supporting 3B distributors. This person will be responsible for designing and implementing a strategic sales plan for developing new business in their territory while maintaining the company’s strong presence in the industry. The Field Sales Representative will be an ambassador of our company, becoming a trusted face to our customers while also adhering to company values and policy. As a member of our team, they will use strong interpersonal skills to provide service and support to customers as needed, which may include coordinating with other departments. The position will be remote/home office based and will require overnight travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Selling and marketing the full line of 3B Scientific Products
  • Develop, maintain and regularly update sales funnel of opportunities in territory
  • Uncover new 3B opportunities with existing customers
  • Become a subject matter expert on all 3B products
  • Adhere to all company procedures, values and policies so that you provide an accurate representation of the company to all potential and current customers.

Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in sales, preferably outside sales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field
  • Education in and/or simulation sales experience
